Random Stuff

I’m getting some really great feedback so thank you for your kind words! Some of you want to know how come I know all this stuff (especially the acne stuff) so a little about me. I’m 34 and I grew up the only ‘brown’ face in my area. I suffered a great deal as virtually all products were wrong for me, and on top of that I became a vegetarian at 17. If that wasn’t bad enough I was cursed with horrendous acne at 18, so I’ve had to work really hard to find out what actually works and what is hype.

I think the best thing to happen in beauty is mineral makeup, full stop. Not only is it great for any colour skin but it is also suitable for vegans AND doesn’t aggravate acne! So you can see why I love it so much!

I’ll try and keep adding new stuff on this site when I find it, but I’m sure you know by now that there isn’t actually a lot out there that is cruelty-free.

Cosmetics To Go
One of my favourite brands as a teenager, CTG was a mail-order site in Poole, Dorset that had a wacky array of products for everything you could imagine. Not only that but they had the most divine perfumes on earth (I still pine for Pas De Musque). One day though they just disappeared, and the phone disconnected. My order form came back unopened and I was pretty devastated as their Tangle conditioner was the only conditioner that made my hair look halfway normal. Then later CTG came back into business, BUT there was also another company called Lush which sent a catalogue too. It seemed the original CTG split into two, with Lush going on to bigger and better things. CTG kept going for a while but unfortunately it looks like they have gone too.

Coming soon (when I have time to update!) some more vegan links.
